Dr. Nandita Chandran brings over 22 years of clinical experience in general and restorative dentistry to Andre Dental in Louisa, Virginia. She believes in taking a thoughtful, personalized approach to care, treating each patient with the same warmth, respect, and attention she would offer her own family. By creating a comfortable, judgment-free environment, Dr. Chandran listens closely to every patient's concerns, explains options clearly, and ensures patients feel informed and relaxed every step of the way.
Education and Experience
Dr. Chandran earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Manipal College of Dental Sciences in India before completing her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark, New Jersey. With more than two decades in general and restorative dentistry, she remains actively involved in professional organizations including the American Dental Association, the Charlottesville-Albemarle Dental Society, and the Indian Dental Association. She is also fluent in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
In the Community
Dedicated to serving others beyond the clinic, Dr. Chandran actively volunteers her time to support families in need. Her outreach work includes participating in Give Kids a Smile in Newark, NJ, as well as volunteering at local Back to School Resource Fairs at Nat Turner Park.
Outside the Office
When she isn’t caring for patients, Dr. Chandran cherishes spending quality time with her family. She loves exploring new places and foods, staying active, and finding balance through hobbies like cooking, hiking, reading, listening to music, embroidery, and jigsaw puzzles.
